History

GGG-E was established in 2016 by a group of researchers from Serbia and Japan as a result and on the basis of scientific collaboration for 6 years between two countries and two successfully conducted projects financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Some Joint Activities That Preceded The Establishment Of GGG-E

  1. Workshop at Faculty of Chemistry, the University of Belgrade with the participation of experts from Japan (October 2012). Activity realized with support from JICA follow up project.
  2. Round table between researchers from Japan and Serbia – “Capacity building for cooperation between Serbia and Japan” was held in Vršac within “Envirochem2013″ conference organized by Serbian Chemical Society at Palic, Serbia (June 2013). Activity realized with the support of Serbian Chemical Society and Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade.
  3. Visit Agricultural High School in Kakogawa and promotion of friendship and collaboration between Serbia and Japan (October 2014). Activity realized with support from Japan Society for Promotion of Science.
  4. Round table between researchers from Japan and Serbia – “Environmental protection without boundaries” was held in Palić within “Envirochem2015″ conference organized by Serbian Chemical Society at Palic, Serbia (June 2015). Activity realized with support from JICA Grassroot Project and Serbian Chemical Society.
  5. Workshop “Persistent organic pollutants in the environment – the situation in Pančevo, Serbia”, was organized by for Pančevo city government officials, professors from Pančevo high schools, individual agricultural producers, representatives of the Pančevo industrial zone, citizens (January 2016). Activity realized with support from JICA Grassroot Project.
  6. Symposium Project in Pančevo for Pančevo city officers, high school professors from Pančevo, individual agricultural producers, representatives of the Pančevo industrial zone, citizens, researchers, representatives from Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Republic of Serbia (January 2017). Activity realized with support from JICA Grassroot Project.

Activities In 2017

  1. Lecture followed by a workshop on environmental biotechnology for the students of High School “Sveti Sava” in Belgrade (May 2017).
  2. Dissemination of information about green chemistry and circular economy organized for representatives of several SMEs from Serbia (June 2017).
  3. Three round table meetings between researchers from Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering all from University of Belgrade with an aim to expand knowledge and collaboration among these multidisciplinary experts (September/October 2017).
